ILONA NYMOEN
Opera and concert singer
"Singing is the true mother tongue of all human beings"
Yehudi Menuhin
A hearty welcome!
From an early age I was influenced by my musical family and singing has accompanied me since childhood. My musical journey began with the flute, harmonica and piano, followed by singing lessons and singing in the school choir.
It wasn't until the conductor Fritz Weisse of the "Berliner Konzert Chor" enthusiastically called out to me during an audition: "Dolle Röhre! Absolutely great tube!", I dared to take concrete steps towards my dream job: singer.
My versatility as a singer becomes clear when you take a look at my repertoire. In addition to the great oratorios and the classical song repertoire, I have mastered over 40 specialist roles in opera and operetta. From highly dramatic roles such as Turandot to the quirky Marcellina in Figaro's Wedding, to world premieres of oratorios to cross-over projects. I love expressing myself musically and taking on new challenges.
I am happy to tell you more about my musical journey here.
